The three-day 6th DRMC International Tech Carnival 2023 concluded on Saturday, 11 February 2023, bringing together technology enthusiasts, innovators, and students from across the country. Emergence Lab participated as an invited team and showcased our innovative project, “SHEBA: An Assistive Robot for Senior Citizens”.
Throughout the carnival, the venue was bustling with people of all ages. Our SHEBA robot attracted significant attention from science-minded students, their guardians, and technology enthusiasts, who were keen to learn about its functions and practical applications. The interest and curiosity it generated were remarkable.
The management of Emergence Lab’s stall was overseen by Md. Atiqul Islam (COO, Emergence Lab) and Md. Abidur Rahman (FO, Emergence Lab), who demonstrated the robot’s capabilities and explained its purpose and potential impact to visitors.
Our stall was honored by visits from Mr. Junaid Ahmed Palak, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the Principal of Dhaka Residential Model College. Other distinguished guests included Mr. Md. Altaf Hossain (PD – IDEA), Mr. Siddhartha Goswami (Senior Consultant – IDEA), Mr. Abul Kalam Ahsanul Azad (Consultant – IDEA), and Mr. Sohag Chandra Das (Consultant – IDEA).
Participating in this tech carnival was a valuable experience for Emergence Lab, allowing us to present our innovative work to a wider audience and receive positive feedback from technology enthusiasts.
