Key milestones of our journey

  • January 2018

    Three undergraduate Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students successfully developed robotic projects under the supervision of Ms. Tamanna Motahar as part of the CSE299: Junior Capstone Project.

  • January 2022

    Emergence Lab officially commenced its operations under the leadership of Dibya Prokash Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Md. Atiqul Islam, Chief Operating Officer (COO).

  • June 2022

    The Sheba-Bot, Emergence Lab’s first robotic venture, received funding from iDEA Bangladesh, with support from the Ministry of ICT, Government of Bangladesh, for prototype development.

  • March 2023

    In March 2023, Emergence Lab established Cogegence, a forward-looking company focused on delivering advanced technology solutions. Cogegence offers customized software development, cloud services, and IT consulting to drive digital transformation. Through its seamless and scalable technology solutions, Cogegence helps businesses grow and explore new opportunities.

  • April 2023

    Emergence Lab was selected to participate in Startup Dhaka Program – Batch 1, a premier incubator initiative supporting innovative startups.

  • January 2024

    In January 2024, Emergence Lab was selected for Cohort 1 of the Accelerating Bangladesh Program, a prestigious initiative supporting high-potential startups. This program provides mentorship, resources, and strategic guidance to help startups scale their innovative solutions. Participation in this program strengthens Emergence Lab’s commitment to driving technological innovation and creating impactful solutions for Bangladesh.

  • March 2024

    In March 2024, Emergence Lab launched e-Jonaki, a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS) designed to make education simpler and more effective. e-Jonaki provides a seamless platform for students, teachers, and administrators, empowering institutions to modernize their learning environment and drive digital transformation.

  • April 2025

    In April 2025, Emergence Lab launched Roboshikhn, an educational technology startup focused on hands-on training in robotics, programming, and modern technology. Our mission is to foster scientific thinking, teach practical problem-solving with technology, and inspire the innovators of tomorrow. Through fun and interactive training, students learn to build robots, write code, and develop projects using advanced technological concepts.

  • November 2025

    In November 2025, Emergence Lab launched Emplab, a cutting-edge platform focused on innovative employee management solutions. Emplab is designed to streamline HR processes, improve organizational efficiency, and provide actionable insights for better workforce management. With Emplab, Emergence Lab aims to empower organizations by integrating modern technology into everyday operations and enhancing overall productivity.

Achievements

Our progress through innovation

Through the development of innovative technologies, we aim to solve major social challenges in our country. Beyond being a business organization, we promote creativity and encourage our engineers to develop new technologies, which are later published in top international research venues.

So far, we have completed three robotic projects, published four international research papers, and delivered ten websites for our clients. Emergence Lab is funded and supported by the Bangladesh Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through the iDEA Bangladesh program.
